I’m not one to laugh out loud at work, but this one got me. Not only is this funny because Beck has seemingly only now come across this tired metaphor, but even better, he equates Mr. Ribbits there to all of the people galvanized against President Obama. Are they too stupid to jump out of boiling water? Or is the frog just an American hating frenchy? Also, he just killed a freaking frog on TV.  Epic Fail.  Thank you Glenn Beck.

Update from Hot Air

It appears Mr. Ribbits wasn’t killed.  And sadly we don’t get to see the crazies from PETA go to war with Glenn Beck.  The only thing that Beck apparently killed here was the metaphor.  People are so galvanized against Barack Obama that when placed in the boiling water (socialism), they will just sit there and die.  So again…Epic.  Fail.  What is your point Mr. Beck?  If you wanted to illustrate that people are jumping away from Obama’s agenda, why not let the metaphor stand alone.  Why provide a visual aid that runs contrary to the point you are trying to make?
